ONE PISSED OFF RESIDENT FROM SAINT JOHN!!!

Again the residents of Red Head are being stomped on by Irving.

First the LNG. The hundreds of trucks traveling the road is destroying what is left of it. Sure, he was generous to "build" a new road..but the writing is now on the wall..he had an alterior motive..another refinery.
There are hundreds of families in Red Head. I personally have lived here for 40 years.

We have been told that he wants all the property from Anthony's Cove to Mispec. Already he has purchased a large portion of the Cove.

What will happen with the prestine Mispec Beach?

Yes, to those who say we need the jobs, I agree...but why not plunk this project in your backyard..in Rothesay or Quispamsis?

Better still...put it somewhere away from the homes of people who have lived there all their lives. Irving has already been surveying around by home...and I have been told it is just a matter of time...but I have also heard the offers and they are NOT reasonable.

How will I be able to replace what I have..3 acres of over 300feet of waterfront property..only 10 minutes from town. One acre lots are going for $50,000 in Millidgeville.

Irving has closed off all media sources..CFBC and the newspaper.

Saint Johner's are now only puppets on a string. If I am forced to move..I will go kicking...but I will also leave the City of Saint John as I no longer respect those who are running it.

Canadian soldier dies in Afghan south

Insurgents attacked a NATO patrol in Afghanistan on Saturday, killing a Canadian soldier in a southern district that the alliance said had been cleared of Taliban fighters after a two-week offensive last month.

Violence has surged in Afghanistan this year to its most intense level since US-led forces ousted the hardline Taliban government in late 2001, weeks after the September 11 attacks.

Saturday was the fifth anniversary of the beginning of the offensive that swept the Taliban from power.

The NATO patrol was hit by a bomb and small-arms fire in Panjwai district, about 25 km west of the city of Kandahar.

A spokeswoman for Canadian forces in southern Afghanistan, Lieutenant Sue Stefko, said the soldier was killed by the bomb blast.

NATO forces mounted a two-week offensive in September to clear hundreds of entrenched Taliban from Panjwai.

The commander of NATO's Afghan force, General David Richards, said the Taliban had probably suffered their greatest single defeat since 2001 in the operation.

A NATO commander said about 1,000 Taliban had been killed.

The Taliban dismissed that, saying they had suffered far fewer casualties.

Later on Saturday, a suicide car-bomber attacked a NATO patrol in the eastern province of Khost. The bomber was killed in the blast and no troops were hurt, a force spokesman said.

It was the third suicide attack in Khost since NATO took command of the province and the rest of the east from a US-led coalition force on Thursday.

More than 140 foreign troops have been killed since January, fanning opposition among the public and opposition parties in some NATO countries to their troops' involvement in Afghanistan.

A rocket or mortar bomb hit an empty house in a Kabul neighbourhood on Saturday evening, resident said. A boy in a nearby house was slightly wounded by flying glass.

Enjoying the fall in Fredericton on a Sunday afternoon!!!!

The Irvings finally did something right or maybe it’s the manager.

This is the Irings Mainway located on Kings Street in Fredericton.

I was always concern that only one employee wis working on the midnight shift.

The drug problem in the Capital is getting as bad as Saint John? < that’s bad >

It’s still not safe because a junkie could just walk in the washroom and come out with a knife. For the life of me, I do not understand why there isn’t two employees working during those dangerous working hours.

No amount of money can replace a human life. I will predict that in 10 years from now? You will be greeted by a cashier behind a bullet proof window!

Last night, I noticed 4 Fredericton Police officers in a group.

I took this picture and I approached them if they wanted to smile for the Camera?

I explain to them that I was a blogger < as if they didn’t know! >...lol...and it would be good public relation if they would smile for the camera?

They weren’t interested but told me that I have to ask their Police Chief for permission.

Anyway...it’s good for the Police Force to be present because it’s getting very bad in the uptown around 2:00am!!!

Someone is definitely going to get kill one of these days.

A READER POINT OF CONCERN!!!

Originally uploaded by Oldmaison.
I found this one in the blog- What the Irvings don't own??? I decided to blog his or her concerns. Here it is -

Irving also has the WSIB Hearings Tribunal Representatives in their pocket.

I fought a case in NB last year where it was clear the worker died from a major pipe leak at the St. John refinery and between the time of the injury and the time of the actual Tribunal Appeal, all the WSIB Reports from the Refinery disappeared.

The WSIB made them pay a $1000.00 fine.

The dead workers family lost their home and are now working for minimum wage for Irving.

Bye Bye Bernard

It saddens me to see the hard working intelligent young folks in the Maritimes coming out of university and not having appropriate work, and forced to work for these greedy and in my view, dishonest power hungry control freaks.

I attempted to get a story about this WSIB appeal published, but it was gagged at the hands of Irving Dictatorship!

It's no wonder other major companies don't want to go and invest in the Maritimes when you have a huge corporation and 3 provincial governments putting up road blocks at every turn, to avoid free enterprise and real competition.

The guy who is proud of his job at Irving should get his head of the bucket and start thinking outside the box and remember your heritage as a maritimer.

In addition, not many know that the reason the previous Premier of NB, FM went to Washington, and sit on a Board called Carlyle Group was to keep an eye on the Iving Funds that are invested in ARMS that are used to blow up innocent people overseas.

There is huge money in oil and arms and war machines.

Don't fool yourself, there is more to these tycoons then creating minimum wage jobs for university grads and hard working maritimers!! Think Outside the Box and do your HOMEWORK!

SAINT JOHNERS NEEDS CFBC TALK OF THE TOWN BACK ON THE AIR!!!!

Are we just going to give up??? I wrote a letter to the editor < Irving Paper > and it's still not printed.

I just have to wait and see what the Irvings are going to do with the letter.

There are a lot of changes happening in Saint John but there's absolutely no where to voice our concerns.

I believe the Government should send someone from Ottawa to investigate this issue.

Talk of the town should be back but how many citizens will fight in public to get that show back on the air???

New Brunswickers are not allowed to phone Rogers Television or Radio with their concerns so what other avenues is there???

OHHHHHH???? I FORGOT!!!! BLOGGING!!!!

Photographers are at risk on the walking trial bridge???

I noticed more photographers on the bridge during these last few evenings but I was told photographer are a little afraid to go on the bridge in the evening and of some crazy youths who would rob them from their cameras.

If I was ever approach by some punks for my camera?

Well, lets just say that I would give them the fight of their lives....lol
