NEW BRUNSWICK HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION AND RENTALSMAN BUREAUCRATS IN FREDERICTON TO HAVE THE SAME ATTITUDE AS MARIE ANTOINETTE????

Many people are telling me that I should really go over a blog before I paste the story on the information highway.

I don’t know the reason I only noticed many grammar errors afterwards?

Oh well..c’est la vie.

During the next few weeks, the poor people in New Brunswick are truly going to find out if this Province is quickly becoming a Marie Antoinette system.

The bureaucrat who I won’t name in future blogs because I was told that she’s a nice and intelligent individual.

So therefore, I’ll just label the whole bureaucratic system on behalf of this individual.

It’s unfortunate because all I wanted was a 15 minutes meeting but the bureaucrat truly believe that the poor don’t know what they’re talking about and should be ignored at any cost.

The Rentalsman office will suggest to the Government that the 20,000 New Brunswickers who lives in Rooming House cand be evicted without proper notice if they don’t pay a damage deposit.

These Bureaucrats don’t give a darn about the poor in this province.

The idividual who’s going to write the new rules refuse to listen to any concerns of the poor.

This is really sad but what can a person do?

Nothing!!!!

I will bring the bureaucrat name up to any elected officials including the Premier in the Capital. I already mentioned this to a few activists in the Capital and they are concern.

The poor must have a say in this new Legislation.

What do these bureaucrats know about being poor?

Nothing!

It’s like the Marie Antoinette system - Let them eat cake!!!

There’s another issue that will be bought up to light with the New Brunswick Human Rights Commission.

Remember the complaint that I filled with the Commission about my rights as a roomers being denied?

z32

To make a long story short?

I made a complaint to the Fire Marshall about a door being lock. After the fire marshall entered the house and ordered the caretaker to unlock the door?

The caretaker quickly left a note on my door telling me that my shower privilege were cut off!

I might add the same caretaker forced a tenant to sh@t in a garbage bag!

He wasn’t allowed to use the washroom even if he paid $300.00 per month rent.

Now? The scary part of this complaint is the lawyer of the Commission is going to suggest to the commission body that the complaint should be dismiss!

knife

This is very scary stuff!

These bureaucrat are totally ignoring the issue of the poor in this Province.

Can you imagine a Human Rights Commission ordering the Governmnt that the poor of this province should be totally ignored? The poor will not be allowed to wash themselves and be force to sh@t in garbage bags! Here's a picture of the garbage bag, the City worker were force to picked up.

z22

Very scary stuff!!!

This could be decided by one individual!

If you read some past blogs? You would noticed that I was very harsh with the Commission but I have been silent for the last six months.

Lets not forget the verdict they took of the way people with ADHD should be treated?

It’s very scary stuff!

The New Brunswick Human Rights Commission will decide in early June if poor New Brunswickers should be treated like animals?

The scary part is that the lawyer of the Commission will be in the room telling the Commission to demised the case but we are not allowed in the same room!

I might add that I had a lawyer from U.N.B. but she was too busy to help me with the case.

As in past cases, the commission will tell me to get a lawyer.

Of course, the poor don’t have the money to bring these bureaucrats in court so what else can we do?

P1010072

Protests? It’s a true fact that the Irving media will never cover a protest of this kind.

So? As far as I’m concern? The decision has already been made!

A lot of people are very upset but what can you do when the bureaucrats refuse to listen to the poor in this Province.

This time around? It’s going to be different because I was invited to be a guest speaker at a forum to give a presentation of what’s going on here in New Brunswick? The issue will be of the way the poor are being treated? This will be my second stunt as a guest speaker on this issue.

P1010030

I believe we will see some protests this summer in the Capital.

The Rentalsman office is located at King’s Place so therefore we will have to protest on King’s street.

All this because the head one who going to write the act refuses to meet with the poor for 15 minutes!

Hey? We all know that once you’re poor? You lose all energy to fight!

Well? Not this guy! I will continue to fight mis-justice till the end of times.

I heard that a few bureaucrats wish to bring me in court?

I say to them - Go ahead!!!! Bring me in court because what can you do to me if I speak the truth?

We the public are not allowed to write letters to the editor against the bureaucrats because the Irvings and these appointed people are hand in hand!

The only place left in this Province to voice our concerns is this blog and Talk of the Town on CFBC in Saint John.

How much longer can this Marie Antoinette attitude continue? That’s the emotional and scary question?

Root of homelessness lies in society's failures

Pat Carlson
CONSIDER THIS

When the news is bad, which is most of the time, why do we accept it as inevitable? Yet, when the news is good, we become skeptical of its validity?

Two presentations - one world into which we might not want to go and one that is there whether we want it to be or not. The choice is always ours.

The staff of Grace House and the Men's Shelter recently attended a presentation, at Addiction Services, on the new street drug that is in our community. The RCMP officer told us of a drug so damaging that some users have eaten the scabs of their sores in order to get what is stored from their own tissue, when a new fix is not readily available.

When the presentation was over, the silence that fell on the room was nothing short of deafening. A level of despair hit the room, as front line workers, of every expertise, felt their stomachs fall. We were shocked as we recognized that no level of preparation will be enough and no answers are available on how to stop this epidemic.

We were cautioned to deal very carefully with the individuals, to keep our hands visible and not to make any quick movements. We were warned that if treatment were attempted, at all, it would take six months of 24/7 supervision and counselling for up to two years to be effective. Treatment is not likely to succeed.

The drug is crystal-meth. Home-made, with over 1,500 recipes on the Internet, it is the drug dealer's dream. It is cheap, easy for drug dealers to make and sell and has no quality control. It is even being laced in marijuana to make you addicted.

At the end of the same week, I was lucky to be invited to attend a conference in Halifax on health and education in our schools. The doctors who presented came with a vision of hope and years of research on what has been proven in universities all over the world. The message was simple: students can reach their full potential. Nick-named "stress buster," the message clearly demonstrated success is possible when stress is reduced.

At this point we need to review some past facts. Most of the addicts who relay their stories to us admit their addiction started as early as age 10. Life has become so stressful that kids are already taking high blood pressure pills and anti-depressants by Grade 10 and 12. Obesity is through the roof as we try to stuff happiness into ourselves. It's all because we are unable to understand that the nature of the individual is not to be pushed from the outside, but be stimulated from the inside.

We also need to reflect on the causes of homelessness.

We ask ourselves: how many students are leaving school uneducated and not able to read? We ask: what will it take for everyone to realize that homelessness is the byproduct of every failure that we are experiencing? Is it not from our own failures that we are failing our youth?

Think about how many teachers you know who are leaving their jobs, prior to retirement, on stress leave?

Homelessness is created. It is not planned. One does not get out of bed and say, "when I grow up I want to be homeless."

Homelessness is the failure of homes, education systems and planning and advisory people who have forgotten what their inner voice told them many years ago. Success comes from within. Success comes from a brain that is open and rested and free from the drug-induced states that rob us of our abilities to fulfil our potential.

Scared of tomorrow? Instead of being scared, why not ask your school to investigate the outcomes of this conference? And, ask also how we can become part of the success of our children with this scientifically proven method.

The calibre of the presenters was quite astonishing: "Ashley Deans, PhD, is principal of Maharishi School, (K-12) in Fairfield, Iowa. His school graduates 10 times the national average of National Merit Scholar Finalists, has seen 95 per cent of graduates accepted at four-year colleges and has had grades 10-12 consistently score in the top one per cent of the nation on standardized tests of educational development. The school has no entrance exams and offers open enrolment, accepting students from a wide variety of backgrounds." His presentation left us with a feeling of hope and optimism.

From Montreal, Guy-Paul Gagne, MD FRCSC, is director of obstetrics and gynecology at LaSalle General Hospital. He is also assistant professor, in this same department, at McGill's faculty of medicine. He is an expert in the health benefits of the Transcendental Meditation technique for children and adults.

The list of presentations went on - from youth who have ADHD and are now drug free and able to focus in school to a conference call with Sarina Grosswald, ED.D., an expert in cognitive learning. All have concluded that "quiet time" with a mechanical, scientific technique can change the learning and achievement potentials for all students.

As principal of a school in Washington, D.C., George Rutherford, PhD, tells of the success in one of the worst schools when he introduced this technique to teachers, students and parents.

In the Maritimes a new committee is being formed for the establishment of stress-free schools. It is not acceptable to attempt to fix what society has created by building more prisons. Yet our current prime minister is claiming that is the answer. Do we not have a responsibility to our children to investigate what this new committee has to say and has to offer?

Success should not be overlooked. More prisons will create only the illusion of safety. Children with a future will guarantee it. Information is available at www.maritimes.stressfreeschools.org or by calling Christopher Collrin at 506-471-5598.

WE WAIT IN HOPE FOR THE LORD; HE IS OUR HELP AND
OUR SHIELD.
( PSALM 33:20 *NIV )

Dear Charles,
When nothing seems to be going right in your life, don't
despair, pray and ask for God's help, and then; WAIT FOR
THE LORD; BE STRONG AND TAKE HEART AND WAIT FOR
THE LORD. ( PSALM 27:14 ) For; THOSE WHO HOPE IN THE
LORD WILL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH. THEY WILL SOAR
ON WINGS LIKE EAGLES; THEY WILL RUN AND NOT GROW
WEARY, THEY WILL WALK AND NOT BE FAINT.
( ISAIAH 40:31 )

After all; THE LORD IS GOOD TO THOSE WHOSE HOPE
IS IN HIM, TO THE ONE WHO SEEKS HIM. ( LAMENTATIONS
3:25 ) For God has said; "THEN YOU WILL KNOW THAT I AM
THE LORD; THOSE WHO HOPE IN ME WILL NOT BE
DISAPPOINTED." ( ISAIAH 49:23 )

Therefore don't let disappointments cause you to give up,
instead always; HOLD UNANSWERINGLY TO THE HOPE
WE PROFESS, FOR HE WHO PROMISED IS FAITHFUL.
Faithful Indeed! ( HEBREWS 10:23)

Now Charles, have a Wonderful Weekend, and may the
peace of God Almighty be with you. Amen.

With My Love & Prayers,
your servant Allen

BERNARD LORD WILL CONTINUE TO IGNORE THE DEATHS OF OUR YOUTHS!!

Picture 090, originally uploaded by Oldmaison.

The sounds of the 90's, looks of the 90's, and trends for the most part have faded away except for one. It was then that medicating children for problems such as ADD started.

"There was a big (Ritalin) explosion in their usage and probably a lot of times they were used too often it was almost trendy for a time if your child had behavioral problems to get your child put on Ritalin," said Doctor Chris Smith.

And now, it's evolved into much more.

Now children are medicated for depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, and ADHD just to name a few.

"I think there are over-uses of psychiatric medications in general," said Smith.

That's causing the amount of medications on the market to continue multiplying. And that growth comes as more and more Americans and children are found abusing prescription drugs.

The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse says over 15 million Americans are abusing prescriptions. That's more than cocaine, hallucinogens, inhalants, and heroin combined.

The medicines that are abused???

Pain medicines, depressants, and stimulants. 2 out of 3 of which are commonly prescribed to children.

"If he says the child needs it then my duty is to dispense the medication not to second guess the physician," said pharmacist Rick Mathews.

But with more drugs being dispensed studies are showing that a growing number of children are also falling victim to prescription drug abuse.

In just 10 years from the early ninety's until 2003 children abusing prescriptions jumped 212 percent (12-17 yr olds).

To put that in perspective, in the average classroom of 30 students about 3 of them aged 12-17 say they have abused at least 1 prescription drug. And that is being found to be a gateway to future drug abuse.

The National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse says those teens who abuse prescription drugs at 2-times more likely to use alcohol, 5-times to use marijuana, 12- times likelier to use heroin, 15-times ecstasy, and 21-times likely to use cocaine compared to teens who did not abuse prescription drugs.

Doctor Smith says these statistics are scaring the wrong people. "The parents we're getting... We're often the last person they're turning to."

Smith says those are the ones who needed the medicine where it could have helped.

But some pharmacists are weary of it's necessity.

"We're seeing more medicated and you're seeing it at a younger age now so i would say it's not solving the problem," said pharmacist Dale Clark.

While the explosion of drugs such as Ritalin is starting to die down the drug warnings of that and other similar psychiatric medications are just getting started.

There was 13 years of down time when those drugs were prescribed to children before the warnings started.

As those warnings continue to add up now there's still little to nothing known about the long term effects that may be awaiting your child in the future.
